Utah Opera Ensemble Program for Singers and Pianists

Utah Opera Ensemble Program provides an integral step between graduate studies and a career. Participants spend six to ten months with Utah Opera developing professional skills through performances, coachings, workshops and masterclass sessions.

Apprentice Artists
ten-month residency, August-May
The apprentice ensemble travel throughout the state of Utah to perform In-school presentations and teach students about the art form of Opera. Artists are coached and participate in masterclasses with music staff and guest artists. They perform in concerts with the Utah Symphony as well as outreach concerts throughout the state.

Coach/Accompanist
ten-month, August-May

The Coach/ Accompanyist accompanies Apprentice Artists' performances and Studio Artists Touring Production. Covers mainstage Opera Rehearsals, and participates in coachings with music staff and guest artists.

Studio Artists
six-month residency, December-May

The Studio Ensemble performs comprimario roles in mainstage operas and covers principal artists roles. Artists are coached and participate in masterclasses with music staff and guest artists. They perform in concerts with the Utah Symphony as well as outreach concerts throughout the state.
