Orchestra In-Sight
![]() |
The Utah Symphony presents a new educational event in its season line-up this year: Orchestra In-Sight offers students and teachers a unique entré into the world of symphonic music. Focusing on a single work, conductor Keith Lockhart will begin the evening by talking informally about the work. Then the symphony, in rehearsal attire, will perform the work. Afterwards, Keith and the orchestra members will take questions from the audience.
Orchestra In-Sight evenings will begin in Abravanel Hall at 7:00 p.m., and conclude between 8:00 and 8:30 p.m. Echoing Utah Opera’s final dress rehearsal program called Opera-tunities, ticket prices are $3 per student, and $5 per teacher/adult chaperone. If your class is unable to attend as a group, individual students are welcome to purchase tickets, either ahead of time by contacting the Box Office at 869-9047, or at the door on the day of the performance.
Orchestra In-Sight will be offered twice this season. We hope you and your students can consider joining us on
February 25th with Keith Lockhart for Stravinsky's Symphony in C
April 15th with David Cho for Mussorsky's Pictures at an Exhibition
