Masterclass with pianist Stephen Hough
The Utah Symphony Youth Guild will sponsor a masterclass with pianist Stephen Hough when he is in Salt Lake to perform with the Utah Symphony. The class will be held on Wednesday, March 21, from 4-6 pm. Because we will be on the stage of Abravanel Hall, seating will be limited and it will be necessary to sign up to reserve a space. Youth Guild students playing at this masterclass are Zachary Adamson, Jacob Dame, David Horton and Weiyi Le.
Mr. Hough performs the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 3 on a program that also includes Wagner’s Prelude to Die Meistersinger and Elgar’s Enigma Variations. Mark Wigglesworth conducts the concerts on March 23 and 24.
