Internships
To assist young people in making informed decisions about careers in the arts, Utah Symphony & Opera accepts interns whenever possible. Interested high school and college students can explore several facets of arts organization operations, administration, education, development, and marketing, or they can choose to focus on a single area. We offer opera-based production opportunities in the costume shop, the scenic design studio, and stage management. Students are contracted for 45 hours of work with an individual mentor in the organization. Internships are unpaid, but can often be used for academic credit with schools.

USUO Student Marketing Ambassadors
Are you enthusiastic about the arts? Do you want to work with a top orchestra AND opera? Get involved by becoming a Student Marketing Ambassador.
Check out the job description below. Must be at least 18 years of age to be an Ambassador.
Student ambassadors act as a communication bridge between (USUO) and fellow students. They work with the USUO Marketing Department to encourage students to purchase tickets to USUO concerts and to promote the USUO brand.

Specific Areas of responsibility:
Promote and publicize USUO student ticket offers, the student Design-A-Series, and the USUO brand using the following methods:
• Distributing posters
• Collecting emails for our Student Discount eAlert list
• Word of mouth
